How to measure — get the right fit

To compare your body to the jacket or to check the garment measurements, follow these simple steps. For raglan-sleeve jackets some measurements differ from a standard set-in shoulder; note the sleeve measurement below.

Garment measurements (how we measure this jacket)

• Chest (pit to pit): Lay the jacket flat and zip it up. Measure straight across 2.5 cm (1") below the armholes from one side seam to the other, then multiply by 2 for the full circumference.
• Body length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (HPS) at the base of the neck down to the hem.
• Sleeve length (raglan): For raglan sleeves measure from the center back of the neck (where the collar meets the neck seam) diagonally along the raglan seam to the cuff end. This gives the true sleeve length for this style.
• Hem width: Measure flat across the bottom hem and multiply by 2.
• Cuff opening: Measure the cuff flat and multiply by 2.

• Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and relaxed.
• Arm length reference: If you don’t have a jacket with raglan sleeves to measure, measure from the center back of your neck, across the shoulder to the wrist with a slightly bent elbow.
