How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape. For best accuracy measure a similar pair of shorts that fits you or measure your body directly. Lay the garment flat and do not stretch fabric when taking garment measurements.

Body measurements (to choose a size)

• Waist: Measure around the natural waist or where you plan to wear the shorts. Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, with feet together.
• Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of the upper thigh (about 2–3" / 5–7 cm below the crotch).
• Front rise: Measure from where you want the waistband to sit down to the crotch on the front of your body.
• Inseam (desired length): Measure from the crotch to where you want the hem to finish on your leg.

Garment measurements (measuring the shorts flat)

Lay the shorts flat on a hard surface and smooth wrinkles (do not stretch).

• Waist (flat): Measure straight across the top of the waistband from side to side, then multiply by 2 for full circumference.
• Hip: Measure across the widest point of the shorts (usually 1–2" / 2.5–5 cm below the crotch seam) and multiply by 2.
• Front rise: Measure from the top of the front waistband down to the crotch seam.
• Back rise: Measure from the top of the back waistband down to the crotch seam.
• Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam along the inner leg seam to the bottom of the hem.
• Thigh width: Measure across the leg 1–2" (2.5–5 cm) below the crotch seam and multiply by 2.
• Hem width: Measure across the bottom opening of one leg and multiply by 2.

Conversion: 1 in = 2.54 cm. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed cargo fit. Pre-washed denim shrinks minimally; unwashed/raw denim may shrink more on first wash (approx. 1–3%).
