How to measure

To choose the best fit, measure both your body and the garment. Use a soft measuring tape and keep the tape snug but not tight.

Measure your body

1. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso, usually above the belly button). Relax and breathe out normally.
2. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks (usually 7–9 cm / 3–4 in below the waist).
3. Inseam: Measure from the crotch along the inside leg to the point where you want the shorts to end.
4. Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam up to the top of the front waistband.
5. Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of the thigh, or measure 2.5 cm/1 in below the crotch seam across the leg and double that.

Measure the garment (laid flat)

1. Waist: Lay the shorts flat, smooth but not stretched. Measure across the top of the waistband from left to right and multiply by 2 for the full waist circumference.
2. Hips: Measure across the shorts approximately 2–3 cm (about 1 in) below the crotch seam, then multiply by 2.
3. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom edge of the leg hem.
4. Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the front waistband.
5. Hem width: Measure across the bottom opening of one leg and multiply by 2 for the full leg opening circumference.

Tip: Allow for 1–2 cm (0.4–0.8 in) variation due to wash, manufacturing tolerance and fabric stretch. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, consider sizing up.
