How to measure — quick guide

Two methods are useful depending on whether you’re checking fit for your body or verifying a garment you already own.

Measure your body (to pick a size)

• Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your torso (natural waist). Keep the tape snug but not tight.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat (usually 20–25 cm / 8–10" below waist).
• Inseam: Measure from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) down to where you want the hem to fall.
• Rise preference: Note front rise (high, mid or low) — this affects where pants sit on the waist.

Measure the garment (recommended for exact fit)

Lay the pants flat on a smooth surface, zip/button up and smooth wrinkles. For circumference values, measure flat and multiply by 2.

• Waist (flat): Measure straight across the top edge of the waistband. Multiply by 2 for the circumference. For elastic waists, measure relaxed and gently stretched.
• Hip (flat): Measure across the garment at the fullest part of the seat (about 20 cm / 8" below waistband), then x2.
• Inseam: From crotch seam to bottom hem along the inner leg.
• Outseam / Total length: From top of waistband to hem along the outer side seam.
• Front rise / Back rise: From crotch seam to top of front/back waistband.
• Thigh: 2.5 cm / 1" below crotch seam, measure across and x2.
• Leg opening / Hem: Measure across the hem and x2.
• Slit height: Measure vertical opening of the slit from hem up to where it stops.

Use a soft tape measure, write down both cm and inches if helpful, and compare garment flat measurements (x2) with your body measurements plus ease preference (comfort allowance).

Materials & construction

Exact fiber content is printed on the product label; if the label is not available, similar polka-dot wide-leg pants are commonly made from lightweight woven fabrics. Typical composition and features:

Care guide — keep it lovely longer

• Before washing: Fasten zippers, turn pants inside out to protect the print and trims.
• Machine wash: Cold or 30°C on a gentle cycle with like colours. Use a mild detergent. Place in a mesh bag for extra protection.
• Hand wash: If you prefer, wash gently in cool water with mild detergent; rinse thoroughly.
• Bleach & harsh chemicals: Avoid bleach and fabric whitener — they can damage prints and fibres.
• Drying: Hang to dry or lay flat in shade. Avoid tumble-drying where possible to preserve shape and elastic recovery.
• Ironing/Steaming: Low heat ironing if needed. Use a pressing cloth or steam to remove wrinkles — polyester-friendly steam is ideal.
• Dry clean: Follow the care label; dry cleaning is safest for delicate blends or lined garments.
• Storage: Hang by the waistband or fold gently. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.
• Spot care: Blot spills immediately with a damp cloth; for oil stains, professional cleaning is recommended.

Style tips

• Casual weekend: Tuck in a relaxed crewneck tee, add white sneakers and a crossbody bag for an easy, put-together look.
• Smart / office: Tuck in a silk or satin blouse, add a fitted blazer and block-heel pumps. A slim belt will define the waist under the blazer.
