How to measure
Measure the garment laid flat on a smooth surface with a flexible tape measure. Record flat measurements and double them for circumference (flat × 2 = full circumference). Measure in inches and cm (1 in = 2.54 cm).
- Bust / Chest (flat): Smooth the cardigan flat and measure straight across 1" (2.5 cm) below the armhole from side seam to side seam. Double for full chest circumference.
- Length: From the highest point of the shoulder (HPS) straight down to the hem.
- Shoulder width: Measure seam-to-seam across the back at the shoulder. For drop-shoulder styles, measure where the sleeve naturally meets the body.
- Sleeve length: From the shoulder seam to the sleeve end (this will correspond to the 3/4 sleeve length).
