How to measure

Use these steps to measure a hoodie or your body so you can choose the best size. For the most accurate results use a soft cloth tape measure and measure on a flat surface.

Tools

• Flexible cloth tape measure
• Flat, hard surface (table or floor)
• Pen and paper to record measurements

Measuring the garment (recommended)

1. Lay the hoodie flat, zip closed and smooth out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
2. Chest (pit to pit): Measure straight across from underarm seam to underarm seam. Double that number to get chest circumference.
3. Body length: From the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar seam) straight down to the bottom hem.
4. Sleeve length: From center back of the neck (where the collar meets fabric) along the shoulder and down to the wrist. Alternatively, measure from shoulder seam to cuff.
5. Shoulder width: Across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
6. Hem width: Measure across the bottom hem and double for circumference.
7. Hood depth: From the center back hood seam to the front edge of the hood.

Measuring your body

1. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest with arms relaxed, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
2. Shoulder: Measure from the edge of one shoulder bone to the other across your back.
3. Sleeve: With a slight bend in the elbow, measure from center back of neck to wrist.
4. Torso length: From top of shoulder near the neck down to where you want the hoodie to sit.

Fit guide: For layering allow 2–4 in (5–10 cm) of extra chest ease; for a slimmer fit allow 0–2 in (0–5 cm). If between sizes, choose larger for a relaxed look or smaller for a fitted look.
