How to measure

Use a flexible tape measure and measure while wearing light clothing. For the best fit, compare your body measurements to a flat-laid garment measurement.

To measure your body

1. Chest — Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and relaxed.
2. Waist — Measure around the narrowest point of your torso (usually above the belly button).
3. Shoulder width — Measure across the back from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other.
4. Torso length — From the highest point of the shoulder (where a shirt’s neck sits) down to where you want the hem to sit.

To measure the garment (recommended)

1. Chest (laid flat) — Lay the tank flat, smooth without stretching. Measure straight across 1" (2.5 cm) below the armholes, then double that measurement for full chest circumference.
2. Body length — Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (HPS) down to the bottom hem.
3. Shoulder — Measure across the back from seam to seam (or from edge to edge of the shoulder binding).
4. Armhole — Measure across the arm opening and double for circumference, or trace around the armhole curve for accuracy.
5. Fit allowance — Allow 2–4 cm (1–1.5 in) extra for a close fit or 5–10 cm (2–4 in) for a relaxed fit.
