For the most accurate fit, measure a similar-fitting garment laid flat (not your body). Keep the knit relaxed and unstretched on a hard surface.
- Chest / Body (Finished): Lay the top flat and measure straight across the chest about 2.5 cm (1") below the armholes from seam to seam. Multiply this number by 2 to get the full chest circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back. If there’s no seam, measure from the point where the shoulder begins on one side to the same point on the other.
- Length (HPS): Measure from the high point of the shoulder (where the shoulder meets the neckline) straight down to the bottom hem.
- Armhole opening: Measure across the armhole opening from the top edge to the bottom edge and double that measurement to get an approximate armhole circumference. For higher accuracy use a soft tape to follow the armhole curve.
- Neck opening: Measure across the front neck edge and double for the neck circumference.
- Hem width: Measure flat across the bottom hem seam and multiply by 2 for the full hem circumference.
