How to measure
Measure the garment laid flat on a smooth surface. Do not stretch the fabric. Where the instruction says "double," measure across and multiply by two to get the full circumference.
- Chest: Measure straight across the front 1" (2.5 cm) below the armholes from seam to seam. Double that number for the full chest circumference.
- Shoulder: Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
- Sleeve (half/short sleeve): From the shoulder seam to the sleeve hem.
- Body length: From the highest point of the shoulder (next to the neckline) straight down to the bottom hem.
- Hem width: Measure straight across the bottom hem and double for the full hem circumference.
Conversion: 1 in = 2.54 cm. Allow about 1–2 cm tolerance for manufacturing variation; 100% cotton items may shrink slightly (typically up to 2–3%) on the first wash unless marked pre-shrunk.
