Measure a garment (laid flat)
- Zip the cardigan and lay it face-up on a flat surface, smoothing out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
- Chest (pit-to-pit): Measure across the front from one armpit seam to the other. Multiply by 2 for chest circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
