How to measure
Use a soft tape measure and measure either a similar tank you already own (preferred) laid flat, or measure your body directly. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and relaxed—not pulled tight.
Measuring a garment (laid flat)
- Chest — Lay the tank flat. Measure straight across 1" (2.5 cm) below the armholes from side seam to side seam. Double that number to get the full chest circumference.
- Body length — Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (where shoulder meets neck seam) straight down to the hem.
- Shoulder / Back width — Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
- Armhole depth — Measure from the top of the shoulder seam down to the lowest point of the armhole curve.
- Hem width — Measure straight across the bottom hem and double for circumference.
