How to measure

Use a soft cloth measuring tape. For best results either measure your body while standing relaxed or measure a well-fitting t-shirt laid flat. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and avoid pulling it too tight. Allow 1–2 cm (0.4–0.8 in) variance for manufacturing and wash.

Measure your body

1. Chest — Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades, just under the armpits. Breathe normally; tape should be snug but not tight.
2. Shoulder width — Measure across the back from one shoulder bone to the other at the widest points.
3. Sleeve length — With your arm relaxed at your side and slightly bent, measure from the top of the shoulder (where the shoulder seam would sit) down to the wrist bone.
4. Body length — Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the neck) straight down to the hem.
5. Waist — Measure around the natural waistline, usually at or just above the belly button.
6. Hips — Measure around the fullest part of the hips.

Measure a t-shirt (garment)

1. Chest (flat) — Lay the tee flat. Measure across the chest 1–2" (2–5 cm) below the armholes from seam to seam, then double that number for full circumference.
2. Shoulder (flat) — Measure from one shoulder seam to the other across the back.
3. Sleeve — Measure from the shoulder seam to the cuff while the sleeve is laid flat.
4. Length — Measure from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.

Tip: Compare your body measurements to a favourite t-shirt's garment measurements to choose the best size. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort or the smaller for a closer fit.
