How to measure — garment (recommended)

Tools: soft measuring tape and a flat surface. For best accuracy, measure a similar T‑shirt you already own laid flat.

1. Chest (pit-to-pit): Lay the T‑shirt flat. Measure straight across the front about 1 in (2.5 cm) below the armhole from seam to seam. Double that number for the full chest circumference.
2. Shoulder width: Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam where the sleeve meets the body.
