How to measure
To ensure the best fit, measure the garment laid flat on a smooth surface. Do not stretch the knit when measuring. Record measurements in both centimetres and inches when possible.
Measuring the garment (recommended)
- Chest: Lay the top flat and smooth it. Measure straight across the front 1" (2.5 cm) below the armhole seam from side seam to side seam. Multiply that number by 2 to get the chest circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure from one shoulder point to the other across the back. If there is no defined seam, measure from the point where the neck rib meets the shoulder on each side.
- Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (where the shoulder meets the neckline) straight down to the hem.
- Armhole opening: Measure across the armhole opening at its widest point and multiply by 2 to estimate armhole circumference. For sleeveless styles this helps check upper‑arm comfort.
- Hem width: Measure across the bottom hem from side seam to side seam and multiply by 2 for the hem circumference.
