How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape. For best results either measure your body where the shorts will sit (body measurements) or measure a similar pair of shorts laid flat (garment measurements). When measuring a garment laid flat, double flat measurements to get the full circumference.

1. Waist (where the shorts sit) — For mid-rise shorts, measure around the torso at the point you want the waistband to sit (typically a couple of centimetres below the natural waist). Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. To measure the garment, measure across the waistband when laid flat and double that number.
2. Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat. For a garment, measure the widest point across the seat and double.
3. Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
4. Front rise — Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the front waistband.
5. Outseam / Length — Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom hem along the side seam.
6. Thigh — Measure about 2.5 cm (1") below the crotch seam across the leg; double the flat measurement for full circumference.
7. Leg opening / Hem — Measure straight across the hem and double for circumference.

Tip: Compare these values to a pair of shorts you already own for the most accurate size selection. Allow approximately 1–2% for potential cotton shrinkage after the first wash.
