How to measure
Use these steps to measure your body or a favorite-fitting shirt so you can choose the best size and fit.
- Chest (body): Wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits, keeping the tape level. For a relaxed fit add 1–2" (2.5–5 cm) to this number.
- Chest (shirt, flat): Lay the shirt flat, measure straight across the chest 1" (2.5 cm) below the armholes, then double that measurement for the circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other across the back (seam to seam).
- Sleeve length: For body measurement, measure from the center back of the neck across the shoulder to the wrist. For garment measurement, measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
