How to measure

Use these two measurement methods so customers can choose the best size: measure the garment laid flat for product listings, and measure the body for sizing guidance.

Measure the garment (laid flat)

1. Waist: Lay the shorts flat and smooth. Measure straight across the top of the waistband from one side seam to the other. Double that number to get the full waist circumference (e.g., 18" flat = 36" waist).
2. Hips: Measure across the widest part of the shorts (usually ~2"–3" below the crotch seam) and double the flat measurement.
3. Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam up to the top of the front waistband.
4. Back rise (optional): Measure from the crotch seam up to the top of the back waistband.
5. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.

7. Thigh: Measure across the leg 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam and double for circumference.
8. Leg opening: Measure across the hem and double.

Measure your body (for choosing a size)

1. Waist: Measure where you normally wear your shorts (natural waist or slightly below for low-rise). Keep the tape snug but not tight.
2. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat with feet together.
3. Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of your upper thigh.
4. Inseam (desired length): Measure from crotch to where you want the hem to fall on your leg.

Tip: If the fabric has stretch or an adjustable drawstring, customers may prefer their usual size for a closer fit or one size up for a more relaxed silhouette. 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
