How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape. Wear the bra or underwear you plan to wear with the dress, stand naturally and keep the tape level and snug but not tight.

1. Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust with the tape parallel to the floor. Measure while wearing a similar bra to the one you’ll wear with the dress.
2. Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. For the tie-waist look, also measure where you want the tie to sit (it may sit slightly above or at the natural waist).
3. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips (usually 7–9" / 18–23 cm below the waist) with feet together.
4. Length: Measure from the top of the shoulder (where the strap meets the shoulder) straight down to the hem. For a center-back length, measure from the center back of the neck to the hem.
5. Flat-garment method (if you have a similar dress): Lay the dress flat. Measure across the bust (armpit to armpit) and double that number for the full bust measurement. Do the same for waist and hips. Measure length from shoulder seam to hem.

Fit guidance: Allow about 1–2" (2.5–5 cm) ease for a close fit, 2–4" (5–10 cm) for a comfortable fit, and 4"+ (10+ cm) for an oversized look. The tie waist is adjustable and can add shaping.
