How to measure

Measure your body (for best fit)

1. Wear the undergarments you will normally wear with the dress. Stand straight but relaxed.
2. Bust: Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, across the nipples and under the arms. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and not too tight—you should be able to breathe normally.
3. Waist: Measure around your natural waist (the narrowest point between ribs and hips). Stand relaxed and do not suck in.
4. Hips: With your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
5. Shoulder width: Measure across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other (where a shoulder seam would sit).
6. Sleeve length: Measure from the shoulder point (where the shoulder seam sits) down to the wrist with your arm slightly bent.
7. Dress length: Measure from the highest shoulder point at the neckline straight down to where you want the hem to fall.
8. Bicep/armhole (if you need extra room): Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

Measure the garment (if you have the dress laid flat)

1. Lay the dress flat on a smooth surface and smooth out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
2. Bust (flat): Measure 1" (2–3 cm) below the armhole across from seam to seam, then double that number to get the full bust circumference.
3. Waist (flat): Measure across the narrowest part of the garment and double the number.
4. Hips (flat): Measure across the fullest section approx. 7–9" (18–23 cm) below the waistline and double the number.
5. Shoulder: Measure seam to seam across the back.
6. Sleeve: Measure from the shoulder seam to the sleeve hem.
7. Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the collar) down to the hem.

Fit tips: For stretch-knit dresses allow 1–3" (2.5–8 cm) of positive ease for comfortable movement; for non-stretch fabrics allow 2–4" (5–10 cm). If you fall between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for comfort in plus-size styles.

6. Treat stains promptly—blot gently and spot-clean with mild soap; avoid vigorous rubbing that can damage fibers or prints.
7. Store on a hanger to keep shape, or fold gently if shelf space is limited. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to avoid gradual fading.
