How to measure — Geometric Button Down Slit Jacket

Use a soft measuring tape and measure with the jacket laid flat on a table. Fasten any buttons and smooth out wrinkles (do not stretch the fabric). Record measurements in centimetres or inches and round to the nearest 0.5 cm / 1⁄4 in. To convert: 1 in = 2.54 cm. For chest/hem/bicep measurements taken flat, multiply by 2 to get the full circumference.

Chest (Pit to Pit)

Measure straight across the front from one armpit seam to the other (at the fullest part of the chest). Multiply by 2 for chest circumference.

Shoulder Width

Measure from outer shoulder seam to outer shoulder seam in a straight line across the back.

Sleeve Length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. If the jacket has a raglan sleeve (no defined shoulder seam), measure from the center back of the neck to the cuff.

Bicep

Measure across the sleeve about 3 cm (1 in) below the armhole seam. Multiply by 2 for circumference.

Cuff / Wrist

Measure across the cuff opening and multiply by 2 for the circumference.

Back Length (HPS to Hem)

Measure from the high point of the shoulder (HPS — the top of the shoulder where it meets the base of the neck) straight down to the hem.

Front Length

With the jacket buttoned, measure from the base of the front collar or shoulder seam (as relevant) down to the hem.

Hem Width

Measure across the bottom hem and multiply by 2 for the circumference.

Side Slit Length

Measure from the hem up to the top of the slit so you know how high the opening sits when worn.
