How to measure

Measuring the garment (recommended)

1. Lay the outerwear flat on a smooth surface and fasten all buttons so the piece sits naturally.
2. Chest/Bust: Measure straight across the front 2.5 cm (1 in) below the armholes from seam to seam, then double that number to get the full circumference.
3. Shoulder width: Measure straight across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
4. Sleeve length: If there is a shoulder seam, measure from the shoulder seam to the cuff. If the style is raglan or has no distinct shoulder seam, measure from the center back at the base of the neck to the cuff.
5. Back length: Measure from the center back at the base of the neck straight down to the hem.
6. Hem width: Measure across the bottom hem and double the number for full circumference.
7. Front opening: Measure one front panel across and double for the full front opening width (useful for button-up styles).

Measuring your body

1. Bust/Chest: Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping tape parallel to the floor.
2. Shoulder width: Measure across the upper back from bone to bone at the widest point.
3. Sleeve length: With your arm slightly bent, measure from the center of the back at the base of the neck, across the shoulder, to the wrist bone.
4. Torso/Length preference: Measure from the base of the neck to where you want the hem to sit.

Fit guidance: Compare your body measurements to the garment measurements. For outerwear, we recommend allowing about 1–2.5 in (2.5–6.5 cm) of ease at the bust/chest for comfortable layering. If you prefer a slimmer fit, choose the size closer to your body measurements; for chunky layering or an oversized look, size up.
