How to measure

For the best fit, we recommend measuring both the garment (laid flat) and your body. Use a soft tape measure, a flat surface and a mirror or a friend for accuracy.

Garment (recommended)

1. Lay the dress flat on a smooth surface and smooth out any wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
2. Bust (chest): measure straight across the front 1" (2.5 cm) below the armhole from seam to seam. Multiply that number by 2 for the full bust circumference.
3. Waist: measure across the narrowest point of the dress (where the dress naturally sits) and multiply by 2 for the circumference.
4. Hip: measure across the fullest part of the skirt (about 7–9" / 18–23 cm below the waist) and multiply by 2.
5. Shoulder width: measure straight across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
6. Sleeve length: for the flutter sleeve, measure from the shoulder point (where the sleeve meets the shoulder) to the sleeve hem along the outer edge.
7. Length (HPS to hem): measure from the highest point of the shoulder at the neckline (HPS) straight down to the hem to get the dress length.
8. Hem width: measure across the hem and multiply by 2 to get the hem circumference.

Body (to compare to garment)

1. Stand straight wearing light, close-fitting underwear. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
2. Bust: measure around the fullest part of your bust.
3. Waist: measure around the natural waist (the smallest part of your torso).
4. Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
5. When choosing size, allow ease: 0–1" (0–2.5 cm) for a fitted look, 1–2" (2.5–5 cm) for a standard fit, 2–4" (5–10 cm) for a relaxed fit.

Tip: 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Round to the nearest 0.5 cm for consistency.
