How to measure

Measure your body

1. Waist — Measure around the narrowest part of your torso (natural waist). Keep the tape snug but not tight; stand relaxed and breathe normally.
2. Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips/buttocks, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
3. Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to where you want the pant hem to sit.
4. Thigh — Measure around the fullest part of the thigh (about 1" / 2.5 cm below the crotch).
5. Height / Length preference — Note your preferred pant length (full length, cropped, ankle) and compare to the garment's outseam measurement.

Measure the garment (lay flat)

1. Lay the pants flat on a smooth surface and smooth out wrinkles without stretching elastic areas.
2. Waist (flat) — Measure across the top of the waistband from left to right and double that number. For elastic/drawstring waists, record both relaxed and fully stretched measurements.
3. Hips — Measure across the pants about 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam and double.
4. Front rise — Measure from the top of the front waistband to the crotch seam.
5. Back rise — Measure from the top of the back waistband to the crotch seam.
6. Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam to the hem along the inside leg.
7. Outseam — Measure from the top of the waistband to the hem along the outside leg.
8. Thigh — Measure across 1" (2.5 cm) below crotch and double.
9. Hem opening — Measure across the leg opening and double.

Tip: For a comfortable fit, allow 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2 in) of ease for a close fit or 4–6 cm (1.6–2.4 in) for a relaxed fit.
