Gold-Plated Stainless Steel Star Ring
Minimal, celestial-inspired ring crafted from stainless steel with a gold-plated finish and a raised star motif — ideal for everyday wear or stacking with other delicate bands.
How to measure
Two simple ways to get the correct size: measure an existing ring that fits, or measure your finger directly. Measure twice and at the end of the day when fingers are warm.
Method A — Measure an existing ring (recommended)
- Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
- Measure the inner diameter: place the ring on a ruler or caliper and measure the widest inside distance from edge to edge in millimetres (mm).
- Use the conversion table below (US size / inner diameter / inner circumference) to find the closest size.
- If the ring measures between two sizes, pick the larger size for comfort (especially for wider bands).
Method B — Measure your finger circumference
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or non-stretchy string around the base of the finger where the ring will sit.
- Mark where the paper/string overlaps, then measure that length with a ruler in millimetres — that is the inner circumference.
- Match the measured circumference to the table below (EU size ≈ circumference in mm) to find the US size.
- If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size between the two measurements or a slightly larger size so the ring can pass the knuckle.
Tip: For wide bands, consider sizing up half a size for comfort.

Materials
- Base metal
- Stainless steel (commonly 316L grade) — corrosion-resistant, strong, and low-maintenance. It holds shape well and resists tarnish compared with softer base metals.
- Gold finish
- Gold-plated finish applied over stainless steel. Plating methods vary (electroplating or PVD) and affect longevity — PVD coatings are generally more durable. Plating thickness and gold karat (e.g., 14K/18K tone) depend on the maker; plating will naturally wear over time with daily use.
- Hypoallergenic notes
- Many stainless-steel jewelry pieces are low in reactive metals and are tolerated by sensitive skin, but individual reactions vary. If you have a severe metal allergy, confirm the exact alloy and plating method or consider solid precious metals.
Model details
- Design: polished gold-plated band with a raised star motif centered on the top.
- Band width: typically 1.5–3 mm (may vary by size).
- Star motif diameter: typically 6–10 mm (depending on model variations).
- Finish: high-polish gold tone; may be available in multiple karat tones depending on supplier.
- Fit: true to size for narrow bands; for wider band variants, consider sizing up half a size.
Care guide — keep it lovely longer
- Avoid prolonged contact with water, chlorinated pools, hot tubs and salt water — these can accelerate plating wear.
- Remove before showering, exercising, sleeping and applying lotions, perfumes or cosmetics.
- Clean gently with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap; use a soft cloth or brush, rinse and dry thoroughly. Buff with a soft microfiber or jewelry polishing cloth to restore shine.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, silver dips, bleach, acetone or alcohol-based cleaners — they can remove plating or scratch stainless steel.
- Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners on plated pieces unless manufacturer explicitly permits it.
- Store separately in a soft pouch or a lined jewelry box and, when possible, keep in a low-humidity environment (zip-top bag with a small silica packet helps) to limit tarnish and abrasion.
- If plating thins over time, a jeweler can re-plate the piece to refresh the finish.
Style tips
- Stack it: pair this delicate star ring with thin bands (plain or textured) for a layered, personalized look.
- Mix metals: the gold tone works well with rose gold or yellow gold pieces; mix in a slim silver/steel band for a modern contrast.
- Finger placement: wear it on the ring or middle finger as a subtle statement, or use it as a midi ring on the index or pinky for a playful touch.
- Coordinate jewelry: match with a small star pendant or moon-themed earrings for a cohesive celestial set.
- Day-to-night: keep styling simple for daytime (stacked thin bands) and add a bolder cuff or layered necklaces for evening.
