How to measure

Use either your body measurements to choose a size or measure a similar pair of shorts (garment measurement) to compare against product specs.

Body measurements (for choosing size)

1. Waist: Wrap a soft tape measure around the narrowest part of your torso or where the smocked waistband will sit. Keep tape snug but not compressing.
2. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks with feet together.
3. Inseam: Measure from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) down to where you want the hem to sit.
4. Rise: Measure from the center front at the top of where the waistband will sit down to the crotch seam.
5. Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of your upper thigh, about 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam.

Tip: Measure while wearing light, close-fitting clothing (or no clothing) for most accurate results.

1. Lay the shorts flat on a smooth surface and smooth out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
2. Waist (flat): Measure straight across the top of the waistband left to right. Multiply by 2 to get the circumference. For smocked waistbands, measure once relaxed and once gently stretched to estimate the range.
3. Hips: Measure straight across the widest point of the seat and multiply by 2.
4. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inner leg to the hem.
5. Outseam / Length: Measure from the top of the waistband down the outer seam to the hem.
6. Leg opening: Measure across the hem and multiply by 2 for circumference.

Conversion: 1 in = 2.54 cm. To convert a flat measurement to circumference, double the flat measurement. If you prefer extra room, add 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) to your hip/waist measurement when selecting a size.
