How to measure

Use a flexible tape measure and a flat surface. Record measurements in inches or centimeters. For any "flat" measurement, multiply by 2 to get the full circumference (for example, 15" flat = 30" waist).

Measuring the garment (laid flat)

1. Waist (flat): Lay the waistband flat without stretching. Measure from left edge to right edge at the top of the waistband. Multiply by 2. If the waistband is elastic, also measure it gently stretched to know maximum circumference.
2. Hips: Measure across the garment about 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam at the fullest part of the seat. Multiply by 2.
3. Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam along the front center to the top of the waistband.
4. Back rise: Measure from the crotch seam along the back center to the top of the waistband.
5. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg seam to the hem.
6. Outseam / Total length: Measure from the top of the waistband down the side seam to the hem.
7. Thigh: Measure across the leg 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam and multiply by 2.
8. Leg opening / Hem: Measure straight across the hem and multiply by 2.

Measuring your body (to choose a size)

• Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your torso (natural waist). Keep tape comfortably snug—not tight.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat with feet together.
• Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the desired hem on the inside of the leg (or use a pair you already own that fits).
• Compare your body measurements to the garment measurements and allow ease for comfort—joggers are typically relaxed through the seat and thigh and taper at the ankle.
