How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape and measure over light layers. Stand relaxed and keep the tape parallel to the floor. For best results, have someone help you.

Measure your body (to choose a size)

• Chest / Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, under the arms, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
• Waist: Measure around the natural waistline (the narrowest point), without sucking in.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips/seat, with feet together.
• Sleeve length (for drop-shoulder styling): Measure from the center back of the neck, across the top of the shoulder, down along the arm to the wrist bone (arm relaxed).
• Body length: Measure from the base of the neck (center back) down to where you want the hem to fall.

Measure an existing sweatshirt (garment laid flat)

1. Lay flat: Place the sweatshirt on a flat surface and smooth out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.
2. Pit to pit (chest): Measure straight across the front 1" (2.5 cm) below the armhole from seam to seam, then multiply by 2 to get the full chest circumference.
3. Shoulder width: Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. For drop-shoulder styles, measure seam-to-seam; if there is no seam, measure from the highest point of the sleeve cap across the back.
4. Sleeve length (garment): Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. If the seam is dropped, measure from that seam to the cuff.
5. Center back length: Measure from the center back neck seam (where the collar meets the body) straight down to the hem.
6. Hem and cuff width: Measure across the hem or cuff when laid flat and multiply by 2 for circumference.

Notes: convert inches ↔ cm (1 in = 2.54 cm). Garment measurements can vary by ±1–2 cm due to finishing and fabric stretch—compare garment measurements to your body measurements for the best fit.
