How to measure

Below are two sets of measurements — how we measure the garment flat and how to measure your body to pick the best size.

Measure the garment (laid flat)

1. Chest (bust): Lay the tank flat. Measure across the front from one underarm seam to the other; multiply this number by 2 to get the full circumference.
2. Underbust / Band: Measure across the underside of the built-in band (if present) from side seam to side seam; multiply by 2.
3. Shoulder width: Measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back.
4. Front length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the neckline) down the center front to the hem.
5. Armhole depth: Measure from the top of the shoulder seam down into the armhole to the underarm seam.
6. Hem width: Measure across the bottom hem from side seam to side seam; multiply by 2 for the circumference.

Measure your body (for fit)

1. Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight.
2. Underbust: Measure just under the bust for band fit.
3. Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist.
4. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
5. Torso length (optional): For a fitted tank, measure from the top of the shoulder down the front to where you want the hem to sit.

Tips: Use a soft measuring tape. Measure while wearing a thin, form-fitting layer (or the bra you’ll wear with the tank). When comparing to garment measurements, allow 1–3" (2–8 cm) for ease depending on how fitted you want the tank.

Materials (what they are and why they’re used)

Exact fiber content varies by batch — always check the garment tag for the precise composition. Typical components for this style include:

• Performance knit (e.g., Nylon/Polyamide + Elastane/Spandex): durable, quick-drying, smooth to the touch and provides stretch with recovery for a close, supportive fit.
• Polyester + Elastane blends: moisture-wicking, colorfast and resistant to pilling; often used for sportier finishes.
• Interior mesh or power lining: lightweight support and breathability at the bust and band area.
• Removable chest pads: typically molded foam or a thin polyurethane foam covered with polyester knit — provide modesty and light shaping. Pads are removable so you can wash them separately or remove for laundering.
• Elastic band / binding: nylon/elastane or polyester/elastane blend for secure hold under the bust and at straps.

About the removable pads

Pads can be inserted or removed through a discrete opening. They offer light shaping and modesty rather than firm support; for high-impact activities pair the tank with a structured sports bra if you need extra support.

Care guide — to keep it lovely longer

1. Before washing: Remove the chest pads. If you prefer to keep pads in, place the tank in a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle cycle — but removing pads will extend their life.
2. Machine wash: Cold water, gentle/delicate cycle, mild detergent. Wash with like colors.
3. Do not use: Fabric softener (reduces moisture-wicking), bleach, or harsh stain removers containing chlorine.
4. Hand wash pads: Hand wash removable foam pads in cool water with a small amount of mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, gently press out excess water and air dry flat.
5. Drying: Reshape the tank and air dry flat or hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Avoid high heat tumble drying — heat damages elastane and foam.
6. Ironing & dry cleaning: Not recommended. If needed, use a very low heat iron with a cloth barrier — avoid pressing directly on elastic or foam areas.
7. Odor & stain tips: For persistent odors, soak 15–30 minutes in a solution of cool water with a 1:4 ratio of white vinegar to water, then rinse and wash as directed. Treat stains promptly with a mild enzyme-free stain remover.
8. Storage: Store flat or hang on a wide/padded hanger. Remove pads before long-term storage to avoid shaping or indentations.
9. General tips: Avoid contact with rough surfaces, Velcro or abrasive zippers that can pill or snag the fabric. Sunscreen and oils can cause discoloration over time — let sunscreen fully dry before putting on the tank.
