- Garment Chest (flat) — Lay the cardigan flat. Measure 1" (2.5 cm) below the armholes from side seam to side seam, then multiply by 2 to get the full chest. Example: 21" flat = 42" chest.
- Shoulder width — Measure straight across the back from one shoulder seam to the other shoulder seam.
