How to measure this ring
Measure your finger (best fit)
- Measure at the end of the day when your fingers are warm. Avoid measuring when cold (finger shrinks) or right after exercise (finger swells).
- Use a flexible measuring tape, a ring sizer, or a strip of paper/string. Wrap it around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimetres — that is the circumference.
- If your knuckle is larger than the base of the finger, measure both and choose a size between the two measurements for comfort or select a slightly larger size.
- Convert circumference to diameter if needed: diameter (mm) = circumference (mm) ÷ π (3.1416). For EU sizes, the EU number ≈ circumference in mm (rounded).
- When in doubt, select the larger size for comfort; half sizes are commonly available.
Measure an existing ring
- Place the ring flat and measure the inside edge to inside edge across the center with a caliper or ruler (internal diameter in mm).
- Use the internal diameter to find the corresponding size (see the quick conversion table below).
| US Size | Internal Diameter (mm) | Circumference (mm) — EU ≈ |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 14.8 | 46.5 → EU ≈ 46–47 |
| 5 | 15.7 | 49.3 → EU ≈ 49 |
| 6 | 16.5 | 51.8 → EU ≈ 52 |
| 7 | 17.3 | 54.3 → EU ≈ 54 |
| 8 | 18.1 | 56.9 → EU ≈ 57 |
| 9 | 19.0 | 59.7 → EU ≈ 60 |
| 10 | 19.8 | 62.2 → EU ≈ 62 |
| 11 | 20.6 | 64.8 → EU ≈ 65 |
| 12 | 21.4 | 67.3 → EU ≈ 67 |
Tip: If you have a jeweler's mandrel or digital ring sizer available, these give the most accurate result. Always measure more than once to confirm.
Materials — what this ring is made of
Moissanite (center stone)
- Typically lab-created moissanite used in jewelry: an ethical, durable diamond alternative with exceptional brilliance and fire.
- Hardness: approximately 9.25 on the Mohs scale — very scratch-resistant and suitable for daily wear.
- Optical properties: higher dispersion than diamond, which produces lively flashes of fire; colorless and near-colorless grades are available.
- Care: robust but should be cleaned regularly to maintain maximum sparkle (see Care Guide below).
925 Sterling Silver (band and setting)
- Composition: 92.5% pure silver combined with other metals (commonly copper) — marked with the "925" hallmark.
- Finish: often high-polish; many sterling silver pieces are rhodium-plated to enhance whiteness and reduce tarnish. If plating is applied, it may wear over time and can be reapplied by a jeweler.
- Properties: softer than gold/platinum, can tarnish when exposed to sulfur/chemicals — follow the Care Guide to minimize tarnishing and wear.

Care guide — keep it lovely longer
Daily care
- Remove the ring when using household chemicals, swimming in chlorinated pools, exercising, or doing heavy manual tasks.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and hair products — apply those products before putting the ring on.
- Store the ring separately in a soft pouch or a lined jewelry box to avoid scratches and reduce tarnishing.
Cleaning at home (regular cleaning)
- Mix warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap.
- Soak the ring for 5–10 minutes.
- Gently brush with a soft toothbrush, paying attention under the stone and in the setting.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Polishing & professional care
- Use a silver polishing cloth for the band if tarnish appears. Do not use abrasive cleansers or rough cloths.
- Rhodium plating (if present) can wear off over time; a jeweler can re-plate the ring to restore finish.
- Have the setting and prongs professionally inspected and tightened once a year to prevent stone loss.
- Ultrasonic cleaning: moissanite itself is generally safe in ultrasonic cleaners, but do not use ultrasonic cleaning if the ring has loose or repaired settings — consult your jeweler.
What to avoid
- Harsh chemicals (bleach, chlorine, oven cleaners).
- Abrading agents such as toothpaste or household scrubs.
- Leaving jewelry in humid bathrooms — moisture speeds tarnish.
Style tips
- Engagement styling: the solitaire moissanite ring looks classic worn alone or paired with a slim polished wedding band. For a perfect fit, consider a contoured or curved wedding band.
- Stacking: pair with thin stacking rings (1–2 mm) in sterling silver, mixed metals, or textured bands for a modern stacked look.
- Mixed-metal looks: combine with rose gold or yellow gold bands for a warm contrast — the bright white moissanite will pop against warmer tones.
- Everyday wear: choose a lower profile setting to reduce catches if you wear the ring daily.
- Evening/glam: match with moissanite or diamond stud earrings and a fine silver chain for coordinated sparkle.
- Manicure & outfit: neutral or deep nail colors (nude, burgundy, navy) make the stone’s sparkle stand out. For daytime casual, pair with denim and a blazer for polished contrast.
