How to measure
Measure the garment laid flat on a smooth surface. For circumference measurements, measure flat (seam-to-seam) and then multiply by 2. For body measurements, wrap the tape measure around the body parallel to the floor. (1 in = 2.54 cm)
- Waist (garment): Lay pants flat and measure straight across the top of the waistband from seam to seam; multiply by 2 for the circumference.
- Hips (garment): Measure across the fullest part of the seat (about 2–3" / 5–8 cm below the crotch), seam to seam; multiply by 2.
- Front rise: From the top center of the front waistband straight down to the crotch seam.
- Back rise: From the top center of the back waistband straight down to the crotch seam.
- Inseam: From the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
