How to measure this shirt
To check fit, measure a shirt that already fits you well or measure your body. Use a flexible tape measure and lay the shirt flat on a smooth surface. Record flat measurements and double where noted to get circumference.
- Chest (half / full): Lay the shirt flat and smooth out wrinkles. Measure straight across the front 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the armholes from side seam to side seam. Double this number to get the full chest circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back at the highest point of the back yoke.
- Sleeve length (shoulder method): Measure from the shoulder seam at the top of the sleeve down to the end of the cuff. (Alternate method used by some brands: measure from the center back of the neck to the cuff; check the product notes or label.)
- Shirt length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar seam) straight down to the bottom hem.
- Collar / neck: Measure the inside circumference of the collar when buttoned, or measure the collar flat from edge to edge and double for circumference.
