How to measure

Measure your body (to pick the right size)

1. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline or where you normally wear your shorts. Keep the tape snug but not tight and record the full circumference.
2. Hips: With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
3. Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of one thigh, about 2 in (5 cm) below the crotch.
4. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem on a pair of shorts that fit how you like. This gives the effective inseam length.
5. Outseam / Length: Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom hem to see where the shorts will fall on your leg.

How we measure the garment (flat measurement)

1. Lay the shorts flat on a smooth surface and smooth out wrinkles; fasten any buttons or snaps.
2. Waist (flat): Measure straight across the top of the waistband unstretched and multiply by 2 to get the circumference. For elastic waists we may also provide a stretched-waist measurement.
3. Hips: Measure straight across about 2 in (5 cm) below the crotch seam; multiply by 2 for circumference.
4. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to the hem along the inside leg.
5. Rise: Measure from the top of the front waistband to the crotch seam.
6. Leg opening: Measure straight across the hem and multiply by 2.

Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and may vary by approximately ±0.5–1 in (±1–2.5 cm). 1 in = 2.54 cm.
