How to measure
Use a soft tape measure and measure over a light layer of clothing. Keep the tape level and snug but not tight.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits. For a garment flat measurement, lay the shirt flat and measure from armpit seam to armpit seam, then double that number to get the circumference.
- Shoulder width: Measure straight across from the outer edge of one shoulder seam to the other shoulder seam.
- Neck: Measure around the base of the neck where a collar would sit; allow one finger for comfort if you like a little breathing room.
- Shirt length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar) down to the hem.
- Sleeve length (short sleeve): Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.
