How to measure

Follow these steps to measure your body or a pair of shorts so you can choose the best size and fit.

Measuring your body

1. Waist: Wrap a flexible tape measure around your natural waist or where you want the shorts to sit (at or just below the navel). Measure snug but not tight.
2. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat with feet together.
3. Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the point you want the shorts to end. Use a favorite pair of shorts to estimate desired inseam.

• Hips / Seat: Measure across the widest part and multiply by two.
• Inseam: Measure the inside seam from crotch to hem.
• Thigh: Measure across 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam and double the number.
• Compare garment measurements to your body measurements and add preferred ease: typically +1" for a snug fit, +2" for a standard active fit, or +3" for a relaxed fit.

Quick tip: Measuring a similar pair of shorts you already own is the most reliable way to match fit—measure flat and double the width for waist/hip numbers.
