How to measure this shirt
Measure the shirt laid flat on a hard surface, buttoned up and smoothed (do not stretch fabric). Record the flat measurement, then double where noted to get circumference.
- Chest (pit-to-pit): Measure from one underarm seam straight across to the opposite underarm seam. (Double this flat measurement to get the full chest circumference.)
- Shoulder width: Measure straight across the back from seam to seam where the sleeve meets the shoulder.
- Sleeve length (shoulder seam method): Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff along the outside of the sleeve.
- Sleeve length (center-back method): For consistency with some size charts, measure from the center back at the base of the collar, across the shoulder, and down to the end of the cuff.
- Back length: Measure from the center back at the base of the collar (where the collar meets the body) straight down to the bottom hem.
- Front length / High point shoulder (HPS): Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the neck) down to the hem.
- Neck circumference: Measure the inside of the collar from seam to seam and double, or measure fully around the inside of the folded collar if available.
- Hem (bottom) width: Measure across the hem from side to side and double for full hem circumference.
How to measure your body for the best fit
- Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades, under the arms. Keep tape level and snug but not tight.
- Neck: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits; insert one finger for comfort allowance if you want a relaxed fit.
