How to measure
We recommend measuring the garment laid flat for the most accurate product measurements. To convert any flat (half) measurement to a circumference, multiply by two. Helpful conversion: 1 in = 2.54 cm.
Measuring the garment (lay flat)
- Waist (flat): Measure straight across the top edge of the waistband from seam to seam. Multiply by 2 for waist circumference.
- Hip (flat): Measure across the pant at approx. 20 cm (8 in) below the top of the waistband where the seat is fullest. Multiply by 2 for hip circumference.
- Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam (where the legs meet) up the front to the top of the waistband.
- Back rise: Measure from the crotch seam up the back to the top of the waistband.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg seam to the hem.
- Thigh (flat): Measure across the leg 2.5 cm (1 in) below the crotch seam. Multiply by 2 for thigh circumference.
- Knee (flat): Measure across the leg at knee level. Multiply by 2 for knee circumference.
- Hem / Leg opening (flat): Measure across the bottom hem. Multiply by 2 for the hem circumference.
- Total length: Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom hem along the outside.
Measuring your body (to choose size)
- Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist (natural waist) with a soft tape, breathing normally.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, keeping the tape level.
- Inseam: Measure from crotch to the floor while wearing the shoes you plan to wear with the pants (or measure a pair you already own that fits).
- Rise preference: If you prefer a higher or lower waistline than shown, compare your front-rise measurement to the garment's front rise.
