How to measure

For the most accurate fit, measure the garment lying flat on a firm surface. Use a soft measuring tape and record both inches and centimetres (1 in = 2.54 cm).

1. Waist (flat) — measure straight across the top of the waistband from left edge to right edge. Double that number to get the full waist circumference.
2. Hips (flat) — with the pants smoothed flat, measure across the fullest part of the hips (usually about 1–2" / 2.5–5 cm below the crotch seam). Double the measurement for full hip circumference.
3. Front rise — measure from the top center of the front waistband straight down to the crotch seam (where the front and inseam meet).
4. Back rise — measure from the top center of the back waistband to the crotch seam.
5. Inseam — measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the bottom hem.
6. Outseam / Total length — measure from the top of the waistband down the side seam to the hem.
7. Thigh — measure across the leg approximately 1" (2.5 cm) below the crotch seam, then double for circumference.
8. Leg opening (hem) — measure straight across the bottom hem; double to get circumference.

Quick sizing guidance: Compare your body measurements to the garment measurements. Recommended added ease (garment minus body circumference): fitted 0–2" (0–5 cm), relaxed 2–4" (5–10 cm), oversized 4"+ (10+ cm). If between sizes, consider fabric stretch and preferred fit—size up for more room or if fabric has little recovery.
