3. Waist: Measure across the narrowest point of the garment (flat) and multiply by 2. For elastic waists, note both relaxed and fully stretched measurements.
4. Hips: Measure across the fullest part of the shorts/romper and multiply by 2.
5. Length: For tops/rompers measure from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem; for shorts measure the outseam from the top of the waist to the hem.
6. Inseam: Measure the inner seam from crotch to hem.
7. Allow a tolerance of about 0.5–2 cm (0.2–0.8 in) for hand measurements and fabric stretch.
