Measure on a flat surface with the sweater buttoned/zipped (if applicable) and relaxed. Do not stretch the knit while measuring.
- Chest (A): Measure straight across from underarm seam to underarm seam. Double this number for chest circumference.
- Shoulder Width (B): Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. For drop-shoulder styles, measure from where the shoulder seam naturally sits to the other side.
- Sleeve Length (C):
- Set-in sleeve: From shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Drop/No shoulder seam: From the neck seam at the highest point straight to the cuff.
- Body Length (D): From the highest shoulder point (where the neck seam meets the shoulder) straight down to the hem.
- Hem Width (E): Measure across the hem, keeping the ribbing flat and relaxed. Double for hem circumference.
- Neck Opening (F): Measure straight across the inner edge of the round neckline, seam to seam. Double for circumference.
- Cuff Width (G): Measure the cuff across in its relaxed state. Double for circumference.
- Armhole Depth (H): From the top of the shoulder seam to the underarm seam along the side.
- Tip: Compare these measurements to a similar sweater you already own for best size selection.
- Tolerance: Knit garments can vary by approximately ±1–2 cm due to the nature of the fabric.
- Conversion: 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
