How to measure
Use a soft measuring tape. For the most accurate fit, measure a similar pair of shorts that already fits you well, or measure your body. Always measure on a flat, smooth surface and record measurements in both cm and inches if needed.
Measuring the product (recommended)
- Waist (laid flat) — Lay the shorts flat and smooth the waistband. Measure straight across the top from side seam to side seam and multiply by 2. For a drawstring/elastic waistband, record both the unstretched measurement and the comfortably stretched measurement.
- Hip / Seat (laid flat) — Measure across the fullest part of the shorts (usually about 6–10 cm / 2–4" below the waistband) from side seam to side seam and multiply by 2.
- Front rise — Measure from the top of the front waistband down to the crotch seam.
- Back rise — Measure from the top of the back waistband down to the crotch seam.
- Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
- Outseam / Total length — Measure from the top of the waistband (at the side seam) straight down to the bottom hem.
- Thigh — Measure across the leg 5 cm (2") below the crotch seam from side to side and multiply by 2 for circumference.
