How to measure
Choose one of two methods: measure your body or measure a similar pair of pants laid flat. For elastic, drawstring styles, measure both relaxed and gently stretched waistband widths to understand fit and stretch.
1) Measure your body
- Waist (where you want the pants to sit) — Wrap a soft tape around your waist or hips at the point you plan to wear the waistband. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and snug but not tight.
- Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, keeping the tape level and relaxed.
- Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the desired hem length.

2) Measure a garment (recommended for best accuracy)
Lay a similar pair of pants flat on a smooth surface, zip/button, smooth fabric, then measure across and multiply flat widths by 2 to get full circumferences.
