How to measure

Use these simple, accurate methods to measure a finger or an existing ring so you choose the correct size and to record product dimensions for listing.

A. Measure your finger (recommended)

1. Use a narrow non-stretch string or a strip of paper. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger where the ring will sit and mark the overlap point.
2. Measure the length between the marks in millimetres — this is the inner circumference of the ring.
3. Refer to the size chart below to convert circumference to your regional ring size. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are warm and slightly larger.
4. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both. Choose the size that slides over the knuckle comfortably; if in doubt, size up half a size.

B. Measure an existing ring

1. Use an internal caliper or a ruler with millimetre marks. Measure the inner diameter across the widest point (not across the band thickness or stones).
2. Use the ring size chart below (inner diameter → size) to find the correct size.
3. For best accuracy, measure 2–3 times and use the average.

C. Measure product details for listings

• Inner diameter (mm) — measured across the inside of the band.
• Inner circumference (mm) — diameter × π (use the measurement above or measure with a flexible tape).
• Band width (mm) — measured across the top of the band where it is widest.
• Band thickness (mm) — measured at the shank, from inside to outside.
• Stone size (mm) — maximum visible dimension of the zircon center or pavé stones.
• Profile (height) (mm) — distance from finger plane to top of the setting.
• Weight (grams) — use a jewellery scale for accuracy.

Materials — what they are and what to expect

925 Sterling Silver

Commonly stamped “925”, sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (usually copper). It has a bright, reflective finish, is durable for daily wear but can oxidize (tarnish) over time when exposed to air, sweat or cosmetics. It is widely tolerated but people with metal sensitivities should check alloy composition.

Zircon (contrast zircon)
